Marc Tissot: Most Influential CEO Redefining Debt Restructuring & Financial Freedom 2026

From debt enforcement and banking to founding Solvable SA, Marc Tissot has built his career around a simple belief: financial difficulty should never mean losing dignity, clarity, or control.

There are few experiences more personal than financial difficulty. Behind every unpaid bill, debt enforcement notice, or difficult financial decision is a person trying to make sense of a situation that may have gradually become overwhelming.

Marc Tissot understood this long before he founded Solvable SA.

His professional journey took him through Switzerland’s debt enforcement system, banking, leasing, and sales management before leading him toward entrepreneurship in 2013. Along the way, he saw financial difficulty from different sides of the table—and came to a conclusion that would shape the company he eventually built: people needed more than financial restructuring. They needed someone who would listen, explain their options, and help them move forward.

Today, as Founder and CEO of Solvable SA, Marc leads a Swiss company specialising in private and commercial debt restructuring. Headquartered in Romont, with offices in the cantons of Vaud and Geneva, Solvable supports thousands of clients across Switzerland every year.

But for Marc, the numbers have never been the whole story.

A Career That Started on the Other Side of the Problem

Marc’s professional path began at the Office des poursuites, Switzerland’s debt enforcement office. Spending two years there gave him a direct view of how the debt collection process worked and, importantly, how people experienced it.

He then moved into banking, joining GE Capital Bank’s recovery department for private loans and leasing before continuing to Credit Suisse, where he worked in leasing. When Credit Suisse restructured this activity to create Bank-now, Marc became Key Account Manager for French-speaking Switzerland, a position he held for three years.

His next chapter took him outside banking. For six years, he led the sales team of a major car dealership specialising in new and used vehicle imports and sales to expatriates working for multinational companies.

These experiences gave Marc something that would later prove invaluable: a 360-degree understanding of financial situations—from public administration and debt recovery to banking, customer relationships, sales, and management.

More importantly, they showed him what was missing.

“People facing financial difficulty were too often handled by impersonal systems,” became the insight behind his entrepreneurial decision.

In 2013, he founded Solvable SA with the intention of doing things differently.

Building Solvable Around a Human Need

Solvable was created with a straightforward purpose: helping people regain control of their finances.

The company’s approach brings together a client’s liabilities into a single monthly payment adapted to their budget. Alongside debt restructuring, Solvable assists with creditworthiness data, debt enforcement register extracts, tax returns, and other related formalities.

Over time, the business expanded its services to respond to specific challenges faced by people dealing with financial pressure.

In 2014, Solvable launched its creditworthiness service, focused on cleaning up erroneous or obsolete information in ZEK and CRIF databases as well as debt enforcement records. In 2019, its debt enforcement register extract service moved online, making the process accessible without requiring clients to travel.

For Marc, technology has always had a practical purpose: making difficult processes easier for people.

That philosophy became even more important as Solvable grew.

Growing Without Losing the Personal Touch

Entrepreneurship brought a different kind of challenge. Moving from established corporate environments to building a company from the ground up meant creating teams, processes, systems, and a culture from scratch.

But growth created another question: how do you support more people without turning personal financial difficulties into impersonal transactions?

Marc’s answer was to invest in technology without allowing technology to replace human support.

Solvable developed its own digital tools in-house to process large volumes of administrative work efficiently. This allows its advisors to focus on the part of the process technology cannot replace—listening to clients, understanding their circumstances, explaining their options, and providing individual guidance.

It is a distinction that sits at the heart of Marc’s leadership philosophy.

Technology should make the process smoother. It should not make the person invisible.

Trust Has to Be Earned

Debt restructuring is an industry where trust matters enormously. Clients are often approaching a company at one of the most stressful points in their financial lives, making transparency and credibility essential.

Marc has addressed this challenge by placing regulation and clarity at the centre of Solvable’s development.

In 2020, Solvable became affiliated with ARIF, a self-regulatory organisation recognised by FINMA, enabling the company to act as a financial intermediary. For Marc, this was not simply a regulatory milestone. It was part of building a company that could demonstrate its commitment to responsible and transparent practices.

Solvable’s client promise is deliberately straightforward: no hidden costs, no taxed mail, and no cancellation fees. Clients can decide each month whether they wish to continue.

That approach reflects Marc’s wider belief that a professional relationship should be built on trust rather than pressure.

His philosophy can be summed up in four words:

Empathy first. Structure always.

More Than Restructuring a Balance Sheet

For Marc, successful debt restructuring is not simply about making numbers work on paper.

When debt begins to accumulate, the consequences can extend far beyond finances. Reminders, fees, enforcement proceedings, damaged creditworthiness, and constant uncertainty can affect a person’s mental well-being and quality of life.

This is why Marc sees Solvable’s role as extending beyond a traditional supplier-client relationship.

The company’s goal is to provide financial coaching alongside restructuring—helping clients understand their situation and gradually rebuild a sense of control.

That perspective also shapes how Marc views the wider industry. He believes debt should not automatically be associated with personal failure.

Instead, it can become a turning point: an opportunity to understand what happened, establish a structure, and begin moving forward.

Milestones Built Around Real Impact

Since its founding, Solvable has continued to expand its services and reach.

The company reports having supported more than 100,000 clients and settled more than CHF 100 million in debt for clients since its creation. It works with more than 100 partner creditors and reports a 99% client satisfaction rate.

Its development has also brought external recognition.

Solvable SA received the Switzerland Prestige Award in the Debt Management Consultants category for three consecutive periods—2022/2023, 2023/2024, and 2024/2025. The company was also recognised by ProvenExpert as a “Top Service Provider” and “Top Recommendation” in 2022 and 2023, based on verified client reviews.

Marc has additionally received an Outstanding Leadership Award from the Health 2.0 Conference for the positive impact of the company’s work on clients’ health and well-being.

For him, however, recognition is most meaningful when it reflects the trust of the people Solvable exists to serve.

Preparing Solvable for Its Next Chapter

The company’s evolution is continuing.

Solvable is preparing a new version of solvable.ch designed to make its services easier to understand and access. A simple online triage process is intended to help visitors identify the solution most appropriate to their situation.

At the same time, the company is continuing to develop its in-house management platform, with the aim of automating more administrative processes while creating a smoother and more transparent client experience.

Specialised services—including creditworthiness data cleaning and the analysis of salary garnishments—are also becoming an increasingly important part of Solvable’s offering.

In 2026, the company launched its salary garnishment service, designed to review and correct garnishments that may have been set too high.

These developments reflect something consistent throughout Marc’s journey: innovation is valuable when it solves a real problem.

Leading With Integrity

Marc Tissot’s advice to professionals entering his field is surprisingly simple.

Build competence, but do not lose compassion.

Understand the technical and legal side of the profession, but remember that every file represents a person. Build reliable systems. Surround yourself with people you trust. Keep learning. And put the client’s needs at the centre of the work.

For Marc, credibility cannot be created by marketing alone.

It has to be earned through consistent principles and measurable impact.

That belief has guided his journey from the debt enforcement office to banking, from corporate leadership to entrepreneurship, and ultimately to building Solvable into a company serving people across Switzerland.

His story is a reminder that financial expertise does not have to come at the expense of humanity.

Sometimes, the most meaningful form of leadership is simply helping someone see a way forward when they can no longer see one themselves.
